YouthForce NOLA energizes, funds, and connects the New Orleans community to provide dynamic, practical learning experiences that bridge school and work for our public high school students.
What is Career-Connected Learning?

“Career-connected learning” is exactly what it sounds like: it’s a set of learning experiences that prepares young people for the world of work. You may have heard of it as career and technical education or CTE. No matter the term you use, career-connected learning offers a clear pathway from high school to the workforce, ensuring every young New Orleanian can thrive in meaningful, well-paying careers in the future.

In our work with young people, one thing remains abundantly clear: the future of New Orleans is bright. Policies that strengthen and reimagine career-connected learning are critical to expanding options, opportunity, and prosperity for our youth in our city and beyond. Our policy priorities are evidence-based and shaped by insights from young people and our network of partners. We work with officials at all levels to direct resources that remove barriers and yield the greatest results for young people in our community.
